Third Vancouver Island destination added for Okanagan Residents

Kelowna International Airport (YLW) and Pacific Coastal Airlines are excited to announce the launch of a new direct route between Kelowna and Comox. This strategic expansion underscores Pacific Coastal Airlines commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and providing travellers with convenient options for seamless journeys within British Columbia.

The new service will start on June 25 and operate six days a week, from Sunday to Friday. The flight time is approximately one hour and 10 minutes, making it easy and convenient for travellers to explore the scenic Comox Valley. It will be serviced by reliable Beechcraft 1900 aircraft, ensuring passengers enjoy a comfortable and efficient travel experience.

“The announcement of this new direct flight to Comox means yet another link for Kelowna to Vancouver Island, which further enhances regional connectivity and provides more opportunities for economic growth. The flight schedule for the Kelowna - Comox route is outlined below:

Kelowna to Comox (flight number 8P1962)Departs Kelowna at 8:45 a.m.Arrives in Comox at 9:55 a.m.

Comox to Kelowna (flight number 8P1963)Departs Comox at 10:20 a.m. Arrives in Kelowna at 11:30 a.m.

Pacific Coastal Airlines has been a trusted airline partner with YLW for the past 11 years, bringing multiple regional destinations to Okanagan residents. The new route to Comox is another example of the airline's commitment to serving the needs and interests of the local community.

With this addition, Pacific Coastal Airlines now offers three direct routes to Vancouver Island from Kelowna, including Victoria and Nanaimo. The airline also announced that it will expand its service to Victoria by offering 3x services, starting June 23, 2024.
