News Release

Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is excited to announce the groundbreaking of two major projects that will significantly enhance the airport's facilities and services: The Sutton Place Hotel Kelowna and a 1,000 stall parkade.

The Sutton Place Hotel Kelowna represents a private investment of $100 million. The Sutton Place Hotels are a luxury Canadian brand hotel chain, owned and operated by BC-based Northland Properties. This hotel will offer guests and locals access to exquisite amenities such as business conference facilities, an indoor leisure and fitness centre, full-service valet, and concierge services. Additionally, the hotel will feature an onsite full-service restaurant, along with a viewing lounge that provides stunning views of the surrounding area.

In conjunction with the hotel, a new 1,000 stall parkade is being constructed with a private investment of $55 million. This parkade will increase parking capacity at YLW and provide passengers with the option of covered parking spots. The 1,000-stall facility will offer convenience and comfort to travellers, ensuring a seamless experience from the moment they arrive at the airport.

These developments mark a significant milestone in the growth and modernization of YLW reinforcing its commitment to providing top-tier services and facilities to its passengers and the local community.

The parkade is expected to be completed in 2027, and the Sutton Place Hotel Kelowna in 2028. For updates, please visit ylw.kelowna.ca/projects.
