Today the Kelowna International Airport (YLW) marked the start of a new non-stop, direct flight to Los Angeles, California, operated by Alaska Airlines. The inaugural flight on December 19, 2024, introduces a convenient connection between Kelowna and Los Angeles, enhancing travel options for leisure and business passengers.

Earlier this year, Alaska Airlines announced they are returning to year-round service to Seattle starting today, December 19.
The addition of these routes with Alaska Airlines contributes to the significant growth in international seat capacity available for Okanagan residents from Kelowna.
About Alaska Airlines
Alaska Airlines is now operating Embraer 175 (E175) jets on flights operating out of Kelowna. The E175 jet features 12 seats in First Class, 12 in Premium Class and 52 in the Main Cabin. Onboard amenities include free entertainment featuring more than 1,000 movies and TV shows. Additionally, customers seated in First Class enjoy 110-volt power in every seat.
