Kelowna International Airport (YLW) and Pacific Coastal Airlines are excited to announce the launch of a new direct route between Kelowna and Cranbrook. This enhanced schedule strengthens regional connectivity and supports business, leisure and medical travel to the Okanagan.

The new service will start on October 27 and operate daily, seven days a week. The flight time is approximately 55 minutes and will be serviced by their 19 seat Beechcraft 1900 aircraft, ensuring passengers enjoy a comfortable and efficient travel experience.

“The announcement of this new direct flight to Cranbrook strengthens the connection between the Okanagan and the Kootenays—enhancing regional connectivity and creating new opportunities for tourism and economic growth,” says Mayor Tom Dyas. “We are grateful for our long-standing partnership with Pacific Coastal Airlines. The addition of new routes, along with the airport expansion underway, reflects the continued growth and importance of YLW as a regional transportation hub.”

The flight schedule for the Kelowna - Cranbrook route beginning October 27 is outlined below:

"We are thrilled to partner with Pacific Coastal Airlines to launch new direct flights to Cranbrook and provide more options for our passengers as we continue to grow the network between the Kootenays and the Okanagan region," said Sam Samaddar, YLW Chief Executive Officer. "We are excited to see the Pacific Coastal network continue to expand at YLW. The addition of this new direct route not only strengthens Pacific Coastal's position as a regional connector but supports Kelowna's role as a transportation hub for travellers and goods throughout our province.”

Pacific Coastal Airlines has been a trusted airline partner with YLW for the past 12 years, bringing multiple regional destinations to Okanagan residents. The new route to Cranbrook is another example of the airline's commitment to serving the needs and interests of the local community and the important role that YLW plays as a regional transport hub. This upcoming winter, Pacific Coastal has doubled their flights into Nanaimo with twice daily service. With this increase, connectivity from Cranbrook will be possible to Nanaimo, Comox, Victoria and Prince George.

“It’s fantastic to once again offer non-stop service between Kelowna and Cranbrook, with our new schedule offering preferred morning and afternoon time of day flights,” says Johnathan Richardson, VP of Commercial at Pacific Coastal Airlines. “This new service not only strengthens regional air access in the Okanagan but also enables efficient one-stop travel between the Kootenays and Vancouver Island.”

With this addition, Pacific Coastal Airlines now serves 20 destinations across British Columbia, more than any other airline.

Flights can be booked through the Pacific Coastal Airlines website, by contacting the Call Centre at 1-800-663-2872, or by reaching out to their preferred travel agent.
