Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is hosting its annual Spring Travel Show Saturday, March 7, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Guests can meet with airlines, travel agents, hotels and resorts to get helpful travel tips and information on popular destinations.
This year, YLW and its partners are giving away 13 prize packages, including:
- Two round-trip tickets to Frankfurt, Germany courtesy of Edmonton International Airport
- Five round trip airfare prizes courtesy of Air North, Central Mountain Air, Flair, Swoop and WestJet
- Travel voucher from Air Canada Vacations and Flight Centre Mission Park
- Wine tour package with Kelowna Concierge
- Accommodation package courtesy of Wood Lake RV and Resort/Marina
- Plus many more!
“We understand that there is concern among passengers and residents about travelling internationally and coronavirus,” said Sam Samaddar, Airport Director. “Our Spring Travel Show is a great way to talk to travel agents directly about how best to travel during the coronavirus situation, whether that is in Canada or other parts of the world.”
Ballots for the prize draws are $5 each or $10 for three tickets and will only be available at the event. All funds raised will be donated to on-campus initiatives at UBC Okanagan that support student health and wellbeing as part of UBC Giving Day.
Free parking will be provided in the long-term parking lot during event hours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees are required to bring in their parking voucher to be validated. The event will also include complimentary wine tasting, food and live entertainment.
